Caretaker / Groundskeeper

The Community Hub is a team that will provide dedicated and shared services to the Auckland Hebrew Congregation (AHC), Kadimah School and the Goldwater Trust Board (Preschool) and all their stakeholders – members, management, operating staff, students, parents and the wider community.
To allow the community to work through requirements for caretaking and cleaning on our new Jewish Community Centre.
To commence ASAP.
We are seeking a couple with cheerful, friendly ‘can-do’ attitudes, good practical/DIY skills, experience working with tools & equipment, who enjoy working in a child-friendly environment.
We will also consider a full time individual with the above-mentioned qualities.
In this role you will be tasked with grounds care and building maintenance, liaising with tradespeople, cleaners, keeping up to date with health and safety requirements around the school, ad-hoc (un)locking of buildings, maintaining a tidy site and general caretaking duties.
 Knowledge and Skills:
  • More than 2 years current commercial cleaning experience
  • Able to work in an environment with competing priorities
  • Proactive, sensible and a team player
  • Allied with the ethos of the Jewish community
Permanent Residency / Citizenship, a clean slate police vetting, and a full driver’s license are required.
