Temple Sinai members donated $1,750 in just two weeks for youth education so that it could receive a generous grant of $5000 from the Raye Freedman Trust.

In a recent post, we inadvertently described the grant as $1,750.

“We are already discussing plans for the new year, including a youth shabbaton for children from all over New Zealand,” Temple Sinai’s Greg Hesling said.

“The generosity of our members and the Raye Freedman Trust is overwhelming.”

Youth education covers the Beit Midrash programme encouraging participation by children and their parents.

It also supports the Tot Shabbat services for families with toddlers and young children and the Garin post-Bnei Mitzvah youth programme.
