Opinion: The raw truth of October 7 and beyond…
Shalom my friend,
Justice, truth and peace can sustain the world.
It is in the yearning for these moral attributes that we may unite, and in the active pursuit of these that we may be forged and flourish: Only in a world that adheres to moral laws and principles, can we hope to not only survive but also thrive.
Israel, though not without error – as are all other nations – sincerely seeks to uphold and defend its right to justice, truth and peace. It is not despite a vain hope for these values, but because of an absolute belief  in their possibility, that Israel must continue to safeguard its people; its nationhood and its continued existence.
Whether it is in the home, school, synagogue or on the battlefield, justice, truth and peace must always be the hope and goal of a people who have survived the deep scars of anti-Semitism. For too long, the Jews have been the target of injustice, lies and genocidal atrocities, and yet, they determine not to live as victims but rather to live as victors over these seemingly perpetual obstacles.
October 7, ‘Black Saturday’, Israel was invaded by Islamic terror groups, Gaza civilians and Hamas – the unhinged, uncivilized and elected rulers of Gaza since 2007.
In one day, Islamic cultists perpetrated the most vile and vast massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. But, unlike the Holocaust when the Nazis attempted to hide the evidence of their crimes from the world, the Islamic butchers of October 7 recorded their atrocities and gleefully shared them on social media for the world to witness.
Islamic death squads entered peaceful Israeli communities and slaughtered over 1,200 people; injured 3,000; bound entire families together and burned them alive; dismembered; mass-raped both males and females; tortured and mutilated innocent people – including babies, children, the elderly and the disabled. In an unfathomable act of cruelty, they took the bodies of some of the innocents they had murdered that day, together with 253 terrified hostages, into Gaza.
Today, 120 tortured souls; including children, elderly and disabled, remain captive in underground hell-holes at the mercy of Islamic extremists. For 280 days they have endured mental, physical and sexual abuse – in silence.
Israel, as a nation that values life above all else, entered its enemies’ land, Gaza, in order to free the hostages and safeguard its people from further atrocities – as vowed by Hamas and other Islamic enemies of Israel and the Jews.
Predictably, the majority of the world watched from the side-lines and did little more than criticise Israel’s humanitarian mission and justifiable military actions.
Our religious, political and community leaders have abandoned Israel and seek to justify and reward terrorists with yet another ‘Palestinian’ state in Gaza – that is, the ‘Glorious Second Islamic Republic of Iran’.
Sunday, July 14, we gather for our 40th rally since ‘Black Saturday’. We shall speak the raw truth; be a voice for the silent hostages; the victims of October 7, the 680 Israeli soldiers that have fallen; the families of these precious souls and the people of the sovereign nation of Israel.
Please, if you are able, forward this message and attached poster to others.
