Hello again valued Jewish Lives supporters:

I hope that you are managing to stay warm and dry in this cold weather.

We have treats in store for you this week:

Diana Wichtel was interviewed about her fabulous book, Driving to Treblinka, which takes us on a highly personal journey of discovery in memory of her father. Read more here.

Christopher Johnstone tells the story of his mother who managed to escape Vienna in 1939, and how, thanks to her, he became an Austrian citizen in 2021. Read more here.

Hershal Herscher of The Jews Brothers tells the story of his journey from Brooklyn to Auckland. Read more here.

As always, we’d love your feedback at hello@jewishlives.nz.

And just FYI – we are also looking forward to The Jewish International Film Festival, which is coming to Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and New Plymouth, 22 July to 4 August; and to Dunedin 5-15 August.

JIFF NZ will be offering a selection of Israeli & Jewish-themed films. The films are New Zealand premieres, taking place across multiple cities, & spanning several genres.

In the meantime, we are grateful for your continued support of Jewish Lives.

Please enjoy the content!
