New Zealand’s double Olympic yachting medalist Jo Aleh – who is Jewish – has gained a powerful role at World Sailing.

Aleh, who won 470 gold at London 2012 and silver at Rio 2016 pairing with Polly Powrie, has been elected as chair of the world governing body’s athletes’ commission.
