Lee Goffin is well known to many Aucklanders and has been a member of CCJ for many years and continues her support from her new home in Bluff in the South Island since retiring from her career as a barrister.. She has been to Israel many times and on a recent visit was very taken by the recent excavations at Magdala, near Tiberias home of Mary the Magalene. Being described as “The Crossroads between Judaism and Christianity” the excavations commenced in 2009 reveal many new aspects of life in the first century CE and cast doubt on many long held opinions.
