The Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS) has been honoured with the Union of the Year Award at the 2025 World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) Congress.

The award recognised AUJS for its increased engagement, political advocacy, particularly during Senate and parliamentary inquiries, and fostering community and social cohesion on campus.

The Congress brings over 100 Jewish student leaders from over 40 countries each year, from Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Australasia and Israel. This year, AUJS proudly brought the largest delegation to the conference, with 16 students representing Australia and New Zealand.

AUJS shared the news on Instagram, writing, “This recognition is a testament to the resilience and dedication of our leaders who have stood tall in the face of antisemitism on our campuses, advocating for Jewish students and fostering a loving community.
