Shalom:
Due to the currently high number of Covid cases, we are temporarily reinstating the masking requirement for Beth Shalom services.
For the next four weeks, adults and children year 4 and above will be required to wear a mask inside when attending services at Beth Shalom.
We expect this time period will include the peak in the current wave of cases, when the risk of transmission is highest.
We are taking this step because we feel a great responsibility to protect the health of our community. Wearing a mask can be challenging, particularly as the weather warms up, but it is an effective tool against spreading Covid.
It is also important that you continue to stay home and join our services online if you are unwell, even if you test negative for Covid.
Thank you for helping us to keep each other safe.
Take care,
Beth Shalom

Friday 23 December: Let’s celebrate 6th night Hanukkah together at our Erev Shabbat service and then party afterwards.  As part of the festivities (latkes, sufganiyot, dreidel derby for the children, singing!), we’re also having a book exchange. Bring a used book, take a used book. We will all light our own Hanukkiah so remember to bring yours with you together with some candles and a salad or a dessert to share at the dinner.

Saturday 24th December at 10am: Our Hanukkah Shabbat morning service will be outdoors in Cornwall Park. We will meet by the band rotunda behind the cafe. Enter the park from the Greenlane West entrance and turn left at the first big round-about. Bring along a picnic lunch if you would like to stay on and schmooze after the service. Please RSVP to the office leaving your mobile phone number so we can contact you if the weather is unsuitable in which case we will hold the service at Beth Shalom. There will be no online option available for this service.
