On behalf of B’nai Brith Auckland, see information below about a hardship fund to help community members in need of employment or financial support…

Important message sent on behalf of B’nai Brith Auckland and supported by the ZFNZ
People in our community need help! We expect that there will be many who will find it very difficult to put food on the table and provide for other basic needs. Some have had their salary reduced by 20% and have no reserves to fund the 20% shortfall. Others have lost their jobs and will find it difficult to find a new job soon.
We must do something! We already know of one family in financial distress. They are doing everything possible to get some income and to reduce expenses including government assistance and reduction in rent.
We expect that there will be others. We are all aware that it is not easy to replace a lost job at this time. Whilst there is some government support, the family will struggle without our community support.
How can we help:
1. Help to find jobs, full-time or part-time
2. Make a donation to the Bnai Brith Hardship Fund
Bank account: 02-0100-0032755-007
Ref: Hardship
All donations are subject to the 33% tax rebate.
No matter how large or small, payable weekly, monthly or a lump sum all amounts will go a long way in relieving hardship. We are looking to raise $6000 over the next three months.
We realise that the economic stranglehold has impacted each and every one of us and no doubt many of us are feeling the economic pressure.
You may notice some savings from your weekly coffees, petrol expenses, entertainment and so on, and we ask you to consider donating whatever you can afford to support this community need.
If you are a business owner and may have an employment opportunity please let us know.
The Bnai Brith Council sends warmest wishes and we hope this email finds you all keeping safe and well.
Yours sincerely,
Jules Gaddie
President
