I have a number of books which I would be happy to donate to a Jewish library or Jewish school if they would be of use.
They are as follows:
“Zohar” (Gershom Sholem); Jewish Spirituality II (ed Arthur Green); 2 x Hebrew Bibles (British Foreign Bible Soc.); “Living With the Bible” (Moshe Dayan); “The Synagogue” beautifully illustrated (Brian deBreffy); “The Gifts of the Jews” (Thomas Cahill); “Judaism” (Philip Sigal); Exodus (with commentary) edited J.H. Hertz; and Pentateuch with Rashi’s Commentary (ed Harry Orlinsky and several Rabbim).
I live in Hamilton and very rarely get to Auckland. I am descended from one of the pioneering Jewish families in Auckland (1843) and although I had a Gentile mother I have always taken an interest in Jewish history and faith.
*If anyone involved with a Jewish library or Jewish school is interested, please get in touch with Neil Keesing at keesing519@gmail.com.
