Foreign Minister Winston Peters has confirmed the Government will not make public a decision on recognising Palestine as a state until he appears at the United Nations in New York later this month.
“We will know then all the details, all the facts that are known now, even at that late moment,” Peters said, as he headed into the House for Question Time on Tuesday afternoon.
The foreign minister in August said the Government would make a decision on the vexed issue of recognising Palestine as a state in September.
