Your invitation to participate…
This week we have launched a major project – a comprehensive national survey of the Jewish population in New Zealand, Gen19.
The aim of Gen19 is to provide Jewish organisations with evidence to target their resources to areas of most need. It will provide an informed understanding of change that is occurring and priorities of Jewish New Zealanders.
Gen19 is designed to build on and update the highly successful Gen08 survey that was conducted in Australia and New Zealand in 2008.
This is a once in a decade opportunity of you to have your say – to contribute your views to communal planning.
The survey is available online and covers a broad selection of issues and topics. Your views are very important, irrespective of how involved or uninvolved you are in Jewish life today.
All answers are confidential. No personal or identifying information will be collected.
We have completed the Australian part of the survey, with about 8,600 responses and that of over 500 New Zealand and Australian Olim in Israel, and now it is your turn!
The overall project in led by Professor Andrew Markus at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, Monash University and has the support of major Jewish foundations and organisations.
Dr Jim Salinger (B’nai B’rith New Zealand) and Professor Paul Spoonley (Massey University) will be analysing the New Zealand survey findings, together with Cyril Nevezie and Stephanie Markson.
This has the support of the New Zealand Jewish Council.
We invite you to complete the online survey, which on average takes 15 minutes. Participation is voluntary and anonymous? no personal or identifying information will be collected.
