The Hadassah committee is delighted to share some good news.
On 14 June 2021, Cabinet agreed to give Hadassah Medical Relief Association of New Zealand Overseas Donee Status effective from 1 April 2021.
From April all donations to the Hadassah hospitals in Jerusalem will be eligible for a donation tax credit. Please note this doesn’t apply to annual subscriptions, only to donations.
It has taken more than two years and we are exceedingly grateful to the IRD policy advisor who spent hours communicating with us. He fully understood and successfully presented to the Minister what we know: that Hadassah is an outstanding health facility as well as a path to peace in the Middle East.
