Kia ora koutou,

As December 3rd is almost upon us we wanted to update you on how the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand is implementing the COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light system)

The traffic light system will come into effect at 11:59 PM on Thursday 2nd December, therefore from then, all entry to HCNZ premises or events will require double vaccination status.
We will require, and check, vaccine passes for everyone aged 12 and over for entry to our centre at 80 Webb St and any events that we hold onsite and offsite.

The Wellington Jewish Community Centre, of which HCNZ is a tenant, is also using the  COVID Vaccine Pass for entry. We want to play our part in helping to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading through our region and our communities, and to protect those that are unable to be vaccinated due to age or medical exemption.

When you are visiting our Wellington-based centre or any of our events across the country

  • present your COVID My Vaccine Pass. Coming a little earlier to events is advised as is having your vaccine pass handy as you approach the facility to reduce bottlenecks.
  • scan in using the NZ COVID Tracer app – we will be continuing to ensure tracing.
  • wear a mask if you are 12 years and over – unless you hold an exemption card
  • Maintain 1M social distancing where applicable

Other healthy habits:

  • regularly wash your hands and use hand sanitiser
  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow.
  • If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and get a test. Contact the COVID Healthline for information and advice by calling 0800 358 5453
