To supporters of the Holocaust Centre of NZ:

This is my last day as chief executive of the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand.

I wish to send you a personal farewell and my deep gratitude for your support of me, the Centre and our team over the past three years.

I am standing aside from the Holocaust Centre, but remain committed to Holocaust remembrance and education, and to those in the wider community who have inspired me, gifted me purpose, and taught me so much.

I am especially indebted to our cherished Holocaust survivors, and their families for helping me to better understand the virtues of courage, resilience and joie de vivre.

I also want to pay recognition to the fantastic teachers that Kris and I led to Yad Vashem in 2023. The warmth and friendship of that special group will remain a highlight of my time and memories of the Centre.

I have been proud to lead such a remarkable and dedicated team of staff and volunteers. While sad to be leaving Kris, Tom, Sarah, and Toby, I have every confidence they will thrive, and that their talents and drive will continue to make a positive difference to the Centre’s important mission.

Thank you, and l’chaim.
Shabbat shalom
