OPINION: ‘The Jews are a stubborn people…’
How often have we heard this?
Yes, stubborn, strong and persistent – but mostly, Jews are humane.
Whether one is a religious or secular Jew, there is something of the spiritual that demands a fierce degree of human compassion and a determination to seek justice.
It is because of that inherent persuasion toward recognition of the sanctity of life, that Israel is fighting the most humane war in history.
That war has two goals, i.e. bring the hostages home and protect the people of Israel.
Today marks 427 days that 100 precious souls have been enslaved in Gaza’s underground terror tunnels. 100 innocent children, youth, elderly and disabled survive in a hell that none of us can imagine.
We must continue to stand as a united voice for those who have been silenced and those who survive in silence.
We must continue to stand up and speak out in solidarity with the families of the victims of October 7; the families of the hostages; the fallen and the fighting heroes of the Israeli Defence Forces and their families.
We must continue to stand in solidarity with all the people of the SOVEREIGN and DEMOCRATIC NATION of ISRAEL.
Sunday, we shall again gather to make our voices heard and the truth of our hearts known.
SPECIAL ISRAELI GUEST SPEAKER TO JOIN US…
Sunday, December 15th, we shall have the honour of a very special guest, Irene Nurith Cohn, speak with us at the ‘Israel Solidarity’ rally.
As a volunteer with ZAKA, Irene was one of the First Responders in the Gaza envelope on ‘Black Saturday’, October 7. Irene dedicated herself to the holy work of collecting the victims for holy burial.
She has made it her mission to travel the world and ‘bear witness’ – including speaking with world leaders.
It is a privilege to have Irene with us on December 15th, and I ask that you share this announcement with others.
AM YISRAEL CHAI!
