OPINION: Today marks 469 days that 98 hostages have been held by radical Islamic rapists and murderers in the underground terror tunnels of Gaza.

On this 469th day of the hostages’ captivity, we learn that the latest cease-fire ‘deal’ for their gradual release has again collapsed.

Not surprisingly for cynics such as myself, Hamas have again back tracked on the ‘deal’.

They not only added demands in contradiction to the agreement with the mediators but also refuse to convene the Cabinet to discuss the ‘deal’ (on Thursday).

As the cease-fire ‘deal’ was to go into effect this Sunday, these petulant peddlers of lies, hate and deception have created a last-minute crisis that prevents a settlement ‘deal’.

A ‘deal’ that would initially result in Gazans returning to Northern Gaza – whilst not all of the hostages would be returning to their homes.

A ‘deal’ that would potentially lead to the release of approximately 1,000 Palestinian terrorists from prison.

I ask myself, ‘what is the nature of a ‘deal’ with Hamas and radical Islamic rapists and murderers?’

Despite the inherent evil of these practitioners of psychological warfare, I remain hopeful for the release of the precious souls in captivity.

This hope is not seeded in trusting the actions or intentions of mankind – rather, it is in my belief that the miraculous hand of God shall prevail. (Pharoah failed – God won).

We must remain as a united voice of hope for the hostages and their families; the victims of October 7 and their families; the fallen and fighting heroes of the Israeli Defence Forces and their families.

Sunday, we shall again gather to publicly proclaim the truth of October 7 and our unwavering solidarity with the people of the Sovereign Nation of Israel.
