Shalom friends,
Gaza is effectively an independent state.
There are not any Jews living there: In 2005 Israel withdrew its 8,000 Israeli citizens from Gaza.
The people of Gaza are not ‘occupied’ and have been free to develop a land that is solely theirs;
a land where they could plant vineyards and orchards, develop dairy and agricultural farms;
a land in which they could encourage their people to be self-reliant, and seek to achieve success in whatever ventures they chose to pursue;
a land in which they could enhance their lives through education, determination and industriousness;
a land in which they had the opportunity to create something for which they could be immensely proud and pass along to their children as a worthy legacy.
The people of Gaza, with resources from UNRWA and other avenues, had the funds to enrich their land and their lives;
the people of Gaza had the freedom to choose their direction and destiny;
the people of Gaza, in 2007, chose Hamas, a terror group, to be their leaders;
the people of Gaza, under that leadership, instead of creating a free and prosperous land, built a terror state.
On October 7, 2023, ‘Black Saturday’, thousands of Hamas terrorists, Islamic Jihadists and Gazan civilians invaded Israel.
On October 7, these Satanic death squads committed atrocities against innocent people – acts of pure evil that are beyond human comprehension.
Israel, wisely, engaged in a defensive war against these aggressors.
The world’s response, aside from sympathetic whispers, was to condemn Israel.
Israel, as has always been the case, has been abandoned and is alone in the defense of its people.
Israel, the people, i.e. the Jews, in nearly every nation are being subjected to vile and violent anti-Semitism.
We, as morally grounded individuals, declare that we shall stand united in solidarity with Israel.
We shall declare that which our community, religious and political leaders will not: The hostages must be released NOW!
We support Israel’s move to further eradicate the threat to its people’s very existence and we shall fight anti-Semitism wherever, whenever and from whom we may encounter it.
This Sunday, we shall gather again to be a voice for the silenced innocents; their families; the IDF and Israel.
Please, if you are able, forward this message and attached poster to others.
