OPINION: For the past few days, hundreds of ‘Palestinians’ have marched in Gaza protesting against Hamas. The protestors claim that they want to be rid of Hamas’ rule and end the war in Gaza; some claiming that Hamas does not represent them.
Reminder: In 2006, Hamas was voted into power by these people in a landslide victory.
Is it wisdom, folly or plain cynicism that would have me question the sincerity of these people? Or perhaps it is the memory of the October 7 massacre perpetrated, not only by radical Islamic terror organizations but also, by Gaza’s ‘civilian terrorists‘.
As predicted, there are crimes, evidence of such and victims – but, not surprisingly, no perpetrators among the populace – only ‘innocent bystanders’. Since when have bystanders been innocent?
Hamas’ response to the ‘anti-Hamas’ protests has been that ‘the demonstrations are directed against Israel and the ongoing war; and that, ‘demonstrations are expected from people facing extermination’.
Hamas, as expected, has attempted to portray that, the demonstrations are merely ‘propaganda spread by Arab and European cities’.
According to senior Hamas official, Basem Naim, the demonstrations are being ‘manipulated by enemy and other parties with political agendas…’ Naim claimed the rallies are being misrepresented as criticizing Hamas’ regime.
Anyone want to buy the Sydney Harbour Bridge or Statue of Liberty…? Yeah? Nah? (The Wellinton Beehive is not up for sale – it is free, i.e. an optional extra, as are New Zealand’s political leaders who have already sold their souls – and for a lot less than 30 pieces of silver!)
Regardless of the ‘Palestinian’ protests, Israeli Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, has said the objective of the latest military campaign is to force the Islamic militants to release the remaining 59 hostages – only 24 of whom are expected to still be alive.
Israel has also stated that, if Hamas continues with its intransigence, it will pay heavy prices that get higher and higher in the taking of territory in Gaza (by Israel) and in taking out militants and terror infrastructure until its’ complete surrender.
Meanwhile, today marks 539 days that fifty-nine precious souls have been held in Gaza’s underground terror tunnels.
Five hundred and thirty-nine days of torture, starvation and enslavement by radical Islamic rapists and murderers.
It is for these innocent people; the victims of the October 7 massacre; the fallen and fighting heroes of the IDF and all their families, that we must stand up and speak out.
Sunday, we shall gather to publicly declare that, despite our political, religious and community leaders’ indifference, we are a united voice in solidarity with all the people of the Promised, Sovereign and Eternal Nation of Israel.
AM YISRAEL CHAI!
