OPINION: This past week, in a display of sheer hypocrisy – or naivete – five Anglican ministers and one Catholic priest chained themselves together at New Zealand MP Nicola Willis’ electoral office.
Their purpose, it seems, was to answer a conscience call to defend the rights of the ‘Palestinian’ people of Gaza; requesting that the New Zealand government sanction the State of Israel, call for a cease-fire in Gaza and recognize the ‘Palestinians’ claim to statehood.
Where were these religious leaders following the October 7 massacre?
Where were they when thousands of Satanic radical Islamists, Hamas and complying Gazans invaded small Israeli communities; mutilated, mass-raped, burned alive babies, children, elderly and the disabled?
Where were they when 251 innocent people were taken hostage – to be used as bargaining chips to gain exactly what these misguided ‘men of the cloth’ are demanding the New Zealand government gift them?
Where are their cries of indignation for the loss of the human rights of 48 precious souls that have been held in Gaza’s torture tunnels for the past 715 days?
Where are their cries of conscience knowing that innocent souls are being chained, humiliated, starved and tortured at the hands of ‘Palestinian’ Jihadists and complying Gazans?
Spare me the politically motivated, immoral and misguided moans that appear to be no less than the ill-disguised mumblings of Jew-hatred.
Israel is ensuring humanitarian aid is directed to Gaza’s civilian population, whilst seeking to free the hostages – and defend its very existence.
Israel is the PromisedSovereign and Eternal Nation as declared by both the Jewish and Christian religions. If these misguided preachers knew their Bible, they would know that the God of their Bible promised the land of Israel to the Jews, and it does not go well for those who come against Israel.
Today marks 715 days that 48 innocent souls remain in the bloodied clutches of radical Islamists, Hamas and complying Gazan civilians.
We must stand up and demand the release of the hostages and that the New Zealand government supports Israel’s right to its defensive war.
Whether Jew or Gentile, religious or secular, each of us must answer the call of our conscience, and for the past 101 Sundays many individuals have united to do such.
Sunday, we shall again stand up and make a public declaration of our support for Justice, Truth and Humanity.
Details of the ‘Israel Solidarity’ rally are on the attached poster.
