OPINION: Having broken my writing arm, I am limited to writing with one, rather over-worked, finger of my left hand – so, please excuse any typos.
The deadline for commencing the Netanyahu Trump ’20-point plan’ for the return of all the hostages held in Gaza since the October 7, 2023 massacre, and a commitment to peace being honoured, is almost upon us. We await, with prayer and hope, positive movements toward this and its fulfillment.
Hamas had responded to the ’20-point plan’ with, “Yes. But…”. Hamas had said it will release all the hostages, “If given the right conditions…”
I remain cautiously optimistic: negotiating with terrorists and accepting the veracity of their words is like attempting to translate an unknown language which is fluid in nature.
From my heart and soul, I thank every courageous and compassionate person who has stood alongside Israel, despite great opposition, and both verbal and physical abuse.
To those who pray for the hostages and the people of Israel, may your words reach into the heavens and return fulfilled.
To those who have never stopped hoping for the release of the hostages and the safety of the people of Israel, may they know the reality of your hope.
To all those who steadfastly remain as allies of Israel during these traumatic times and trials, battling in defense of truth and justice, you are true and trusted warriors.
In whichever way you have stood in solidarity with the families of Israel and the Jewish people, you are heroes.
May your prayers, hopes and steadfast solidarity bear fruit and may we witness the return of the precious hostages, the return of peace to Israel and an end to violent global Jew-Hatred.
If we are to answer the call of our conscience, there is only one battle-cry that we must declare and determine: AM YISRAEL CHAI – THE PEOPLE ISRAEL LIVE!
Sunday, we shall again gather to pray, hope and speak out in solidarity with Israel. Attached is a poster with details.
