Join us for Jewish Auckland’s Book Club!

Date: Wednesday 17th of July

Time: 19:00 – 21:00

Location: Jewish Auckland Community Library

Special Guest Host: Helene Ritchie

We’re thrilled to welcome Helene Ritchie, a distinguished author and civic activist. Helene made history as Wellington’s first female deputy mayor and longest-serving city councilor, and the first Jewish female elected to the council.

She will present her new book, “The Burnt Letter”, which reveals her mother Lidi’s harrowing escape from the Nazis, the devastating loss of loved ones during the Holocaust, and Helene’s fifty-year journey to uncover her family’s past.

As a registered psychologist and former board member of the NZ Holocaust Centre, Helene brings a profound depth to her storytelling, making this an event you won’t want to miss.

🎫 Free entry, but a donation would be appreciated. Registration is required by clicking on the link below. Books will be available and signed by Helene at the event.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to engage with Helene and explore her remarkable work. See you there!
