Hello again valued supporters:
We have some great new features again for you.
We are very conscious that we have focused a lot on Auckland, so this week we are bringing you some profiles from the South Island with two Mayors of Invercargill – Abraham Wachner and Eve Poole [pictured above]. Many thanks to Vivienne Allan for her assistance with these.
We are also covering our first sporting achiever, Janine Bensky Nathan, fencing international. We would love to hear from others out there who have achieved sporting success and would like to be featured. Contact us at hello@jewishlives.nz.
What’s on:
ASB Waterfront Theatre presents Things That Matter 17-20 August. The play is based on the memoir by the son of Jewish Polish immigrants and prominent doctor Dr David Galler. Early Bird ticket prices available until this Tuesday 27 July, 9am. Email boxoffice@atc.co.nz or phone 0800 282 849.
The Jewish International Film Festival also started yesterday, so be sure to catch some of the great films on offer.
Till next time, stay cosy!
