Celebrating Jewish learning, culture, & community!
Shalom l’kulam,

We are so excited to announce that LIMMUD NZ will be taking place in Wellington this year, over the weekend of 27th-28th August! After two years of COVID-affected events, we are delighted to have a range of international speakers travelling from across the globe to Wellington to celebrate LIMMUD with us in person.

Our LIMMUD weekend begins on Saturday night with an evening of music, entertainment, and ‘true stories told live’ at Hackett’s bar, followed by Sunday’s smorgasbord of sessions at Wellington East Girls’ College. Both venues are located in central Wellington.  For those travelling from out of Wellington, we are offering a 50% out-of-town discount on your Limmud registration – so book your flights today!

There is something for everyone at LIMMUD – from Torah, philosophy, and history to food, music, and art! Our promise is to take you one step further on your Jewish journey, and we know that the program line-up this year will do just that.

Over the coming weeks we will be spotlighting our fascinating array of speakers on our FacebookInstagram, and new website. Closer to the event, the full program will be available on the website, so stay tuned!

We are already counting down the days until LIMMUD NZ 2022 and we know you will be too. The good news is that you can already register to secure your spot – so click here to register today!

See you all in Wellington in August.

International Speaker Spotlight:

Liza Wiemer

Author of The Assignment

Our first international speaker spotlight is on author Liza Weimer, whose book ‘The Assignment’ was inspired by an antisemitic school assignment in a small American town, the effects of which rippled out causing curriculum violence and reinforced Jewish stereotypes. Liza will share behind-the-scenes information, research, and why this book is helping to change Holocaust education, connecting the past to what’s transpiring in society today.
