Having done very well at the recent Olympic Games, Israel is now eagerly looking forward to the forthcoming Paralympics, writes Michael Kuttner.

Although bringing home medals is a wonderful achievement actually participating and overcoming difficult handicaps is what makes the Paralympics so special.

In a similar vein, Israel’s achievements over the years, despite seemingly insurmountable barriers, are a source of pride and wonderment.

Unheralded and under reported by the general media outside of Israel are many positive steps being taken as a result of the Abraham Accords. It demonstrates how peace can be made when both sides have a genuine desire to co-operate and learn from each other.

Contrast this with those who still advocate a world where neither Israel nor Jews exist.

ANOTHER JOINT VENTURE

 In what can truly be called an historic “joint venture,” the first Israeli baby was recently born in the United Arab Emirates. May this be just the beginning of many more smachot.
