It is common knowledge that in Israel if you need help in a health emergency, trained personnel are almost instantly on the scene, writes Michael Kuttner

Given the large number of medical IDF responders as well as an abundance of volunteers who work with Magen David Adom, Hatzalah and Zaka, help is always never far away.

Reports of horrendous delays in ambulance arrival times experienced in other countries are non existent in Israel. Every second counts and that is why Israel’s first responders are so impressive.

Whether on the street or at home one can be assured of a swift response to any emergency.

Adding to this positive situation is the placement of defibrillators in synagogues, public buildings, malls and shopping areas. These user friendly pieces of equipment save lives and ensure that vital seconds are gained in providing immediate aid.

FIRST RESPONDERS

Israel’s first responders come from all ethnic sectors of society. Their motivation and volunteering ethos make them the best in the world and provide Israelis with outstanding life saving assistance.
