Another “only in Israel” event demonstrates the unique experience of living here.

An elderly woman living in Petah Tikva felt unwell and called for an ambulance. Unlike some other countries the first aid responders in Israel arrive in record quick time. Additionally the ambulances are staffed by several personnel ranging in age from teens to veterans, many of whom are volunteers.

Imagine this woman’s total surprise when one of the medics answering her emergency call was none other than the Minister of Health himself. He is a volunteer with Magen David Adom and was on duty this day.

In what other country does the Minister of Health also take a hands on approach to his portfolio?

PURIM SURPRISE

Children at Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center received a fantastic Purim surprise which hopefully helped to cheer them up.

Once again another example of how living in Israel is a unique experience.
