Concern for the environment and the air we breathe has become of paramount importance.

Lag B’Omer, the 33rd day between Pesach and Shavuot, is a favourite time for bonfires and festivities. In Israel it was always imperative to shut your windows as the smoky haze permeated every corner of the country.

Thank goodness each year in recent times has seen a decrease in the number of uncontrolled bonfires as an awareness of the health hazards has grown. For the first time, this year we were able to keep our windows open and breathe in the fresh invigorating Judean mountains air.

RESILIENCE IN THE FACE OF TERROR

How do Israeli families cope when their loved ones are murdered by Arab terrorists?

Last year the Dee family faced the consequences of such an attack.

Listen and be inspired by the strength and faith of this family as they face the future without their spouse, mother and siblings.

An interesting perspective on the contributions Jews have made to humanity.

Perhaps this could be a useful guide for all those advocating boycotts of Israel.
