In preparation for Pesach (Passover), operation “eggsodus” is underway.
Instead of the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt this particular exercise involves the movement of millions of eggs to Israel in time for the impending Festival.
The Agriculture and Raw Food Security Ministry and Finance Ministry announced Sunday ahead of Pesach that the quota of customs-free imported eggs has been increased.
A new quota was set for 105 million, and about 40 million have already been imported, the ministries said.

Israeli high school students of all ethnicities co-operated in developing nine research satellites which were launched into space.
Unsurprisingly this good news story did not attract the attention of the international media which remains obsessed with only reporting negative news about Israel and its multicultural society.
