The winners of the 2024 Paul Seideman Scholarship were awarded during the International Holocaust Remembrance Day commemoration at Parliament on Monday, 27 January 2025.
The winners were presented their certificates by our host, the Hon Nicola Willis. Each of the winners presented their winning submission in front of Holocaust survivors and their families, members of parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, and all those gathered.
Entries were of the highest calibre and the judging committee wasp leased to see so many submissions to honour the life and wishes of Paul Seideman, z”l.
Started on the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Paul was committed to seeing students engage with Holocaust studies and remembering the victims.

Year 7 – 8: Raphe Dacre, from Medbury Preparatory School
Year 9 – 10: Esther Hoyt, from Hillview Christian School
Year 11 – 13: Mason Drylie, from Westlake Boys High School
