The Zionist Federation of New Zealand is one of the longest Israel supporting organisations in the New Zealand Jewish community, having existed for over 100 years. As such, we have been an integral part of the community.  We serve as the New Zealand representatives of both the Jewish Agency and the World Zionist Organisation. We are responsible for Shlichut (excluding the BA shlichim) in the country, promoting Israel, Zionism and Jewish culture, March of the Living, HOPE and Birthright Targlit amongst many other things.

Much of our income comes from donations and membership fees, which have stayed static for well over 10 years. Unfortunately, with a drop in income over the last few years, in part due to a decline in membership and donations, we have taken the difficult decision to have to increase our membership fees. We understand that this is a difficult time for many which has made this decision even harder.

The new rates are as follows:

(*Senior members (70 plus years of age) fees remain the same in the form of a 20% senior
discount. We encourage those who wish to still pay the $150.00 to do so and the additional $30.00 will be taken as a donation.)

In addition to the slight increase in membership fees, we are also introducing a new system where all membership runs from 1 April to 31 March each year, and can either be paid in full in one payment or by direct debit over 12 months. This means that your renewal rates might vary depending on when you last renewed your membership to ensure you are not being asked to pay twice.

Our Treasurer, Neville Baker, will shortly be sending out membership subscriptions for the 2022-23 membership year.
