Colonel Michael Scott CSC is a decorated Australian Army officer with over 30 years of full-time service. A graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon, Colonel Scott has served on multiple operational deployments, including East Timor, Bougainville, Iraq, and two tours of Afghanistan. From 2019 to 2021, he was seconded to the United Nations and based in Jerusalem, where he served as a senior military officer across a region spanning Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. For his distinguished service, he was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross by the Governor-General of Australia in the 2023 Australia Day Honours.
Colonel Scott is also the Founder and CEO of The 2023 Foundation, a non-Jewish-led initiative dedicated to combatting antisemitism through immersive education and cultural exchange. A committed advocate for Western values and civilisational resilience, he is the author of the forthcoming book A Light Still Burns: Israel and the Values Worth Defending, and recently completed an MBA at NYU’s Stern School of Business. His voice has become a respected presence in both military and civil discourse, bridging leadership, strategy, and moral clarity in an age of growing complexity.
