If you’re in the mood for a cookie that’s a little bit different, you might want to check out Oogi Artisan Cookies in Point Chevalier, Auckland. Run by Shiri, a self-described one-woman team, Oogi is dedicated to creating delicious, high-end, and unique cookies.

Shiri, originally from Israel, combines traditional kiwi flavours with some inspired by her Israeli roots like her Ma’Amul.

“I try to incorporate some cookies from Israel, just to keep things interesting and as a point of difference” she shares. “And then also more traditional cookies like chocolate chip. And then just cookies which my kids like, which I’m hoping, if my kids like them, everybody likes them.”

Oogi is a one-woman operation, handling every aspect of the business herself, from baking to marketing to the inevitable cleaning up, though her family is more than happy to help with the taste testing!

Though Shiri mainly operates the business out of her home, you will also find her at a range of different markets all over Auckland. You can keep up to date with what markets she’ll be at by following her on Instagram.
